The Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC and its affiliates believe that privacy and trust are cornerstones of our customer relationship. In operating our businesses we strive to find methods to guard your privacy while affording you opportunities to find the automobile that suits your needs and obtained credit for the purchase of the automobile.  This privacy statement for U.S. consumers lets you know how we handle personally identifiable information you share with Rosenthal Automotive through and certain other Rosenthal Automotive web sites, as well as AV Automotive Group, LLC websites.

It also applies to information about you and your vehicle that we obtain from our affiliate’s sites.  Rosenthal Automotive, AV Automotive Group, LLC, our affiliates, our licensees, and dealers may use the information you share with us.  It made be used by our suppliers exclusively to provide services for Rosenthal Automotive and the AV Auto Group, LLC, and by our business partners to conduct joint marketing programs.

We will not share your personal information with third parties other than these or with any third party for their independent use without your permission.

We do not sell information about our customers, their accounts or transactions to others for their use.  We do share information as described in this Privacy Policy.

When we do share information it is limited to the information necessary for the particular circumstance and only under strict controls to prevent misuse.

We restrict access to the information we obtain about you to only those service providers who need to know that information for the purpose of purchasing an automobile or obtaining credit.

We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with all state and federal regulations to guard against misuse of the information we obtain.

Graham-Leach-Bliley Act

The Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC complies with the requirements of the Graham-Leach-Bliley Act, 15 U.S.C. SS6801 through 6810 (“GLB Act”), and the Federal Trade Commission's implementing regulation, Regulation P, 16 C.F.R. Part 313 (“Regulation P”), in particular, as both relate to the disclosure and protection of Non-Public Personal Information (“NPI”) for customers with regard to the authorized distribution and intended use of customers financial information to other parties. The Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC will substantially comply with the GLB Act and Regulation P for all customer NPI received, transferred or obtained from the use of this site or from a party.

Information Collection

The Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC collects customer information from a variety of sources:

Application information (the information you provide us on your applications and other such forms such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, birth date, Social Security numbers, level of family income, employers name, and employers address); Credit Reports (information from consumer reporting agencies); Correspondence (the information you provide when communicating in writing, online or by phone with our customer service representatives, as well as our response and follow-up correspondence with third parties concerning; marketing partners and publicly available databases (we receive information from our marketing partners e.g. financial institutions, auto dealerships and other businesses and public databases, our websites, sweepstakes entries, test drive registrations, surveys, vehicle sales records, and other public sources which is used to help us serve you.

While you may use the Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC websites to learn about our products and services without disclosing any information about you or your vehicle, we may ask you to provide us with personal information including: contact information (name, address, city, state and zip code, e-mail address, and telephone number) vehicle information (vehicle identification number (VIN), make, model, model year, mileage, etc.) demographic information (age range, marital status, household composition, etc.) non-credit related marketing profile information (when you plan to purchase or lease; the vehicle in which you're interested, etc.)

In addition, Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC affiliates, and other sources such as those that provide lists of potential vehicle purchasers or current users may give the information they have regarding you or your so that we may serve your needs better.

We use this information to evaluate your applications, locate an appropriate lender, provide you with high quality service, and prevent fraud. We may also use this information to confirm your identity when you call us to inquire about your accounts.

You authorize Porsche of Arlington to contact you with marketing information through written communications, calling or texting you at the phone number(s) you've provided. You understand these calls or text may use computer-assisted dialing and/or prerecorded messages. This authorization is not required to complete the purchase or lease of any of our products.

Cookies and Other Tracking Devices

The Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC use cookies and other tracking devices on our websites. “Cookies” are small computer files which are automatically placed on your computer's hard drive when you are connected to a website or remote server so that the website can recognize you upon your return to the website and tailor your experience based on your earlier use of the site. “Action tags” (also known as Web Beacons, Trackers, or Bugs) are invisible pixel .gif files placed on webpages that are used to track Web navigation to those pages.

The Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC may disclose information about you to the following types of third parties: Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC affiliates; service companies (companies that provide services to the Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC in order to process your application); financial institutions, and credit bureaus, collection agencies. Your information is disclosed to the foregoing entities solely for the purpose of locating a vehicle that meets your criteria and obtaining credit for the purchase of such vehicle. Outlined below is the information shared with each type of third party and as appropriate, your options.

Sharing Information with Service Companies -- In order to provide quality service, the Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC contracts with service providers for essential roles in processing your application. We may disclose some or all of the information we collect to these service providers but only in order to obtain credit for you. All of the Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC’s service providers have entered into a contract with the Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC that forbids them from using information provided by the Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC for any purpose other than providing the service for the Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC customers.  The Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC takes security precautions to monitor the use of the information and prevent the use of the information for any other purpose.

These relationships are clearly stated in the application and by completing the application you agree to the information sharing by The Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC and the partner which may include: your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and personal financial information.

Credit Reports and Other Uses of Information -- In applying for credit, you agree that we may request consumer credit reports from one or more credit reporting agencies in connection with your application and the administration of such application. You also authorize us to exchange credit information concerning you or your use of the Account with (and answer questions and requests from) others, such as merchants, other lenders and credit reporting agencies.

The Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC does not knowingly offer its products and services to minors. Similarly, the Rosenthal Automotive Organization and the AV Auto Group, LLC does not collect information about children. Our Online Services may contain links to the websites of other Porsche companies, Porsche dealers, or other third parties, as well as to social media platforms such as Facebook or Twitter ("Linked Sites"). Porsche is not responsible and has no liability for the privacy policies or practices of Linked Sites. We recommend that you review the privacy policies of each Linked Site you visit.

Outside the U.S.

Our Online Services are for users located exclusively in the United States of America. If you are located outside the United States, please return to and use the drop down box to find the website for users in your location, but please do not use our Online Services, as the information practices and the terms of this Privacy Policy may or may not comply with foreign law. By using our Online Services, you consent to the use and disclosure of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and subject to the applicable state and federal laws of the United States.

Information We Collect

As used in this Privacy Policy, "Personal Information" means information that can be used to identify a specific individual, such as name, e-mail address, phone number, driver's license number, or credit card number. "Information" is collectively used herein to refer to both Personal Information and other information that does not identify a specific individual.

Porsche and its third party service providers collect Information about you from a variety of sources, including Personal Information you provide directly to us, Information we collect about you when access and use our Online Services. We also collect your Personal Information from independent Porsche dealers. We may combine any of the Information collected about you for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Information You Provide Us. We collect Personal Information when you:

  • register for the online Porsche Login service;
  • order and/or purchase any of our products or services from us or an independent Porsche dealer;
  • register for any Porsche event or program, including the Porsche Travel Club, Porsche Driving Schools, or webspecials, and/or participate in any event, program, contest, surveys, or other promotion that we may offer from time to time (collectively, "Events");
  • subscribe to the Porsche Magazine, newsletter, or other communications from us,

Information Collected Automatically.

Cookies: Cookies are small text files stored by your browser that allow us to learn more information about your visit or use of our Online Services. We may use cookies to remember your Personal Information, including your registration information, and to track your usage of our Online Services over time. Log File Information: Log file information is automatically reported by your browser or mobile device each time you access our Online Services. When you use our Online Services, servers may automatically record certain log file information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, referring / exit pages and URLs, number of clicks and how you interact with Linked Sites, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information.

Clear Gifs/Web Beacons: When you use our Online Services, we may employ clear gifs (also known as web beacons) which are used to anonymously track your online usage patterns. In addition, we may also use clear gifs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track which emails are opened and which links are clicked by recipients. This information facilitates more accurate reporting and improvement of our Online Services.

Location Data: When you access our Online Services via a mobile device, we may access, collect, monitor, and/or remotely store information regarding your mobile device, as well as real-time "location data," which may include GPS coordinates. Location data may convey to us information about how you browse and use our Online Services. You may opt-out from allowing us to have access to your location data by adjusting the permissions in your mobile device, though some features of our Online Services may not function properly if use or availability of location data is impaired or disabled.

Information We Receive From Third Parties. We may receive Information about you from third parties. For example, if you access our Online Services through a third-party connection or log-in (e.g., through Facebook), such third party may pass certain information about your use of its service to us. We may also receive Information you have provided to Porsche dealers, our affiliates, or Porsche clubs. We may also obtain other Information about you such as change of address, contact information, or demographic information from commercially or publicly available sources.

How We You Use Your Information

We use your Information, including Personal Information, for a variety of business purposes, including:

  • communicating with you regarding Porsche, and its products, services, and Events;
  • customizing your Porsche experience;
  • creating and managing your online Porsche Login registration;
  • responding to your inquiries, comments, or postings;
  • administering our Events;

You may also request that your Personal Information not be shared with independent Porsche dealerships as part of related marketing and customer care programs (although you should be aware that these dealerships also collect personal data directly from you).

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"), on certain of our Online Services. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as how often you visit our Online Services, what pages you visit within our Online Services, and what other sites you visited prior to coming to our Online Services. We use the information provided by Google Analytics to improve our Online Services. California's Do Not Track Notice

At this time, there is no worldwide uniform or consistent industry standard or definition for responding to, processing, or communicating Do Not Track signals. Thus, our Online Services are unable to respond to Do Not Track Signals.

Porsche does not allow third parties to collect Personal Information when you use our Online Services for their promotional purposes. We do use third party web analytics services, such as Google Analytics, to help us obtain and analyze information about your browsing and usage habits.

How We Protect Your Information

We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to keep your Personal Information secure. For example, when you submit sensitive Personal Information, such as credit card information, through our Online Services, we utilize secure sockets layer (SSL) encryption technology. We also request that our third-party service providers use commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or use. However, no data transmission is guaranteed as 100% secure.

Submissions and User Generated Content

Unless governed by separate terms identified at the time of submission, all suggestions, materials, remarks, or other intellectual property (e.g., ideas, experiences, and photos) you communicate or submit to us ("Submissions") will be considered nonconfidential and non-proprietary. Porsche shall have no obligation of any kind with respect to such Submissions and shall be free to use and distribute Submissions for any purposes, without limitation of any kind.

Our Online Services and Social Media Pages allow you to post messages and submit content (e.g., comments, phots, blogs, postings, etc.), which may include your Personal Information. You are responsible for all actions resulting from any information, including Personal Information, which you post on our Online Services or Social Media Pages. Please remember that any information you post becomes public information, is not subject to this Privacy Policy, and Porsche is not responsible for the results of such postings.

E-mail Security

"Phishing" is a scam designed to steal your Personal Information. If you receive an e-mail that looks like it is from us asking you for your Personal Information, please notify us as provided below in the Contact Us section.

Children's Privacy

Our Online Services are not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13 without parental or guardian consent. Please contact us via the Contact Information provided below if you believe we may have collected such information without parental or guardian consent or other than in a manner authorized by law, and we will work to delete it.
